In this dark interior with enigmatic depth, the black and greyscale palette of marble, mirrored, and metallic surfaces create an overall sense of mystery, coolness, and intentional disconnect from the bright aesthetic of the development's exterior. The 'journey' from the entry through the elongated dark space provides a sense of compression for the user before a sense of release when walking toward the living room where natural light floods in from the balcony funnelling one's line of sight. A 7-metre feature wall guiding you on this 'journey' from the entry was designed to seamlessly conceal two bedrooms, provide massive hidden storage spaces, and showcase the homeowners' collection of oddities. Naturally, this creates a wanting to find out what lies beyond its facade.
The abundant use of black and dark grey on the walls and ceiling create a stark contrast from the lighter grey marble flooring. The distinct grains on the marble flooring mimic the waves and ripples of a dark sea, striking an experiential connection with the waterfront view the homeowners enjoy from the comfort of their balcony every evening. Statement tiles with mind-bending prints within display niches and the bathroom lend a touch of playfulness in this otherwise minimalistic composure. Used prominently, brushed stainless steel and mirrored wall cladding and decorative objects channel motion across the dark space, generating interesting visual effects when the light hits.

The home's play of dark and light, solid and void, and materiality creates a unique experience for the homeowners for years to come.
